The Ball pendant light is a true Danish design classic that was created by Benny Frandsen in 1968. In 2018, the Ball luminaire from Frandsen celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The Ball lights could be found in most Danish homes in the 1970s and have since moved into summer houses, nurseries and all rooms where good lighting is required. To this day, most Danes have a special relationship with the small round lamp.
“Just because BALL is 50 years old and still a bestseller doesn’t mean that we have stopped developing it” , says Benny Frandsen , designer of the Ball -series.
Over the years Ball has evolved in line with the trends of the day and the luminaire has been produced in all the popular colors of recent decades. Since 1968 the Ball -family has also been regularly expanded without losing sight of the most familiar design elements. Today Ball is available in countless colors and models, from table lamps to floor lamps and wall lamps.
