Davenport Style Craftsman Desk
The desk from the Remix Collection Hansen Family is a reinterpretation of the classic Davenport secretary. With its strongly handcrafted character and colourful storage compartments, the designer desk combines classic and modern elements.
The desk is designed by Gesa Hansen. It fits in modern living rooms as well as classic study rooms. The desk offers storage space and plenty of room to work. The table top can be pulled out to the front and there is additional space above the four colourful shelves. The compartments can be easily removed when needed.
Minimalism and bold colours
The desk was designed by Gesa Hansen as part of the Remix Collection for her own design label The Hansen Family . Her design style is a combination of Scandinavian minimalism and bold colours. This is also evident in the desk of the award-winning furniture collection, which is strongly inspired by the Scandinavian craft tradition. The Hansen Family’s products are rooted in this same tradition of craftsmanship: each desk is made by hand in the Hansen Family workshop and exclusively from German oak wood.
Award-winning design
For its outstanding design, the desk from the Remix Collection Chicago Athenaeum’s Good Design Award and the Red Dot Designaward in 2010 and was nominated for the Designpreis Deutschland in 2011.
